You have been hired as a staff member of the Patterson Joint Unified School District and completed the hiring paperwork with HR. Once your demographic data has been entered in Aeries, an Account Automation process will create your email and computer login.
After a couple hours, your account will be ready to login.
Go to https://gmail.com
Your username will be your First Initial and Last name @patterson.k12.ca.us, email@example.com
Your password will be your First Initial, Last Initial, 8 digit DOB, flMMDDYYYY
Our district uses Google's 2-Step Verification to add an additional layer of security to accounts. This process must be completed within two weeks of your account creation or you will get locked out of your account.
After you log into your district email, click on your Google Account icon in the top right corner of Gmail. It will be your first name initial.
Then click the Manage your Google Account button.
On the menu on the left, click on Security
Locate and click on 2-Step Verification
Click the Get Started button and enter your password again.
Enter your phone number and whether you prefer a text message or phone call and click Next.
Enter the code you receive on the next page and click Next.
You have secured your account with 2-step verification. You will need this device to enter a the security code each time you log into a new device. You can set the device to remember your login.
