The IT department is always looking for ways to enhance teachers’ ability to maximize the use of technology in the classroom. Clever is activating a new feature that will help teachers resolve student login issues more promptly and independently.
How do teacher-assisted login backup codes work?
If a student is having trouble logging into Clever, their teachers can help them log in by generating a one-time-use backup code.
Backup codes are generated and used with the following steps:
1. Teachers log into their Clever account and click “Help a Student” on the right-hand side:
2. Teachers choose the student they wish to help from the drop-down menu:
3. Teachers will then see a backup code to give to the student. Each backup code is unique to the student. Backup codes must be used within 20 minutes of when they are generated, and each backup code can only be used once.
4. After the student logs in to their Clever account, the teacher should submit a Zendesk work order and an IT member will be able to assist to find a long-term solution for the student's login issue.
