Password complexities for the different user groups are listed below.  Users can change their passwords by using the self-service website (https://password.patterson.k12.ca.us).

Employee Password Requirements

• Not contain your username or part of your full name that exceeds two consecutive characters
• Be at least six characters in length
• Contain characters from three of the following four categories:
  • at least one Uppercase characters (A through Z)
  • at least one Lowercase characters (a through z)
  • at least one Number (0 through 9)
  • at least one Non-Alphanumeric characters
    • Example: !, $, #, %
• Cannot be one of the previous 24 passwords used

Secondary Student Password Requirements

• Not contain your username or part of your full name that exceeds two consecutive characters
• Be at least six characters in length
• Contain characters from three of the following four categories:
  • at least one Uppercase characters (A through Z)
  • at least one Lowercase characters (a through z)
  • at least one Number (0 through 9)
  • at least one Non-Alphanumeric characters
    • Example: !, $, #, %
• Cannot be one of the previous 24 passwords used

Elementary Student Password Requirements

• Be at least eight characters in length
